  • How I spent lockdown

2020 what to write about this year, millions of people got infected and many died, for it was the rise of Coronavirus, one of the worst viruses ever. In this whole year, people were so scared and they stayed in their houses But this time was good as well. People got to stay with their families. Many famous people also got Covid like the president of the UK, Boris Johnson, Amitabh Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan. People were terrified of Covid back then. But now people aren’t as scared as they were before because the Covid vaccine is released. Like all the people, I spent 2020 at home only. At the start of 2020,I was going to school as usual, and at that time I was in 3 grade, it was online on Microsoft teams. Before I wasn’t comfortable I started my 4th grade with distance learning, but after a few months till now, I am comfortable with it because it has been a long time since it started. In this period only, one day, my friend told me if I could join his Zoom meeting and I agreed with him. I learned to install few apps from him and he even has his own YouTube channel where he puts stuff like that. I used to play with him most of the time. Then I introduced him to my best friend who is in my class. I liked playing with both of them. I made lots of friends through the digital platform, which means I got friends whom I didn’t know before and I got to meet them online. I also got to learn about many software programs and websites like scratch, where you could make games, Thunkable, where you could make apps, make beliefs comix where I made some games, an app, and few interesting comics. I participated in the fun-filled and knowledgeableADNOC Summer Camp and learned about different things that are useful in day-to-day life as well as in studies. It was very interesting. Coincidentally this year my grandparents also visited me and that was the best part. I had a great time with them and I loved it. I taught them how to play some board games and about mobile apps also to some extent. Because of Covid 19, all the flights were closed and my grandparents stayed with me in Abu Dhabi for 4 months instead of planned 1 month as they were on a short visit. That was a treasured moment for me. Then my school started again. We had a lot of new interesting lessons and our teachers worked very hard for us. After school many times I used to call my friend and chat with him. We even created a group in which we would randomly chat on random topics. We had a group on Zoom and Whatsapp. We learned many things from each other. It was a lot of fun playing and chatting with them. Then after a few months came July and my birthday. In that I invited some of my friends and the ones I couldn’t invite, I called them in a Zoom meeting. It included some of my family members and my friends. All my classmates had sent their birthday wishes to me in the form of a video and my relatives also wished me in the same way. That was a big surprise for me. In July we had our summer holidays and we always go to India to meet our family and friends. But not in 2020. We had to stay in Abu Dhabi only. I missed my India tour badly. So after the summer holidays, our school started again. It was so much fun to learn about new things and gain knowledge. Then a few months later there was a big surprise for everyone: the Covad vaccine was finally found which gave a big sigh of relief to the world. Even though the Covid vaccine is released, we shouldn’t underestimate it and should still take necessary precautions to be safe. Now let’s talk about a few precautions we need to take care of to be safe from Corona: ⮚ We should always wear a mask and gloves while going outside. ⮚ We shouldn’t go to crowded places. ⮚ We should maintain social distancing of at least 2 meters. ⮚ Whenever we come from outside, we should always wash our hands for a minimm of 20seconds. ⮚ If we want to be safe, then we shouldn’t go outside at all unless it’s very important. So this was all about Covid-19 and how I spent lockdown last year. It was a fun year but it was so much troubling as well. It is a year that we shouldn’t remember any time and I am sure that people in the future will understand how painful this year was. Thank You

  • The Evil Witch

Have you ever played the game, "The Evil Witch?" I am pretty sure that the answer will be No But I managed to play it. And it made me to go into the game. Ok, not really… IT SUCKED ME INTO IT!!! Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Aravind. I’m mad about games. It started when I decided to play the game in 2019. The game’s story is that a Player’s puppy is dog-napped, and the player had to save the puppy through a ton of weird locations with silly monsters. And if you play this, there is no escape. Today before I was sucked in, I saw some smoke from the setup box. As usual, I met an old owl who told me the evil witch’s plans. She, Scrotcher intended to make my puppy her evil side kick. I first had to head to Scrotcher’s Play Garden where I had to attack toy soldiers by jumping on them. Then I entered the castle. Game Over. I found the puppy, attacked more monsters and destroyed Scrotcher. See Ya! Ok, I went a little too fast. What happened next was` that I entered Scrotcher’s castle and found myself in front of a door leading to three more doors. I decided to enter the first door. It was the Towering Peaks. At towering peaks, I had to battle with falling stones. Then I had to battle with the boss. Defeated, I made my way back to the castle in fought with Scrotcher. I eventually managed to destroy her but her final blow attacked me, and I fainted. Suddenly I heard my mom calling me then I realized it was just a dream. My journey wasn’t real. Phew!!!

  • If Rivers Could Talk

If rivers had the capability to talk before a century, it would have been laughing and enjoying her life because before hundred years there was no pollution in the river, there were no factories which polluted rivers. it would have been enjoying her birth, because many children play in her glorified water, many of them drink her purified water and many of them survived because of her. So if it had the ability to talk it would have felt so proud of her and tell about the beneficial things it has done to human beings and animals to the world. Animals drink the water flow from her and it nourish the forest and the land around her. Helping others is the most happiest thing in the world so, it would have been so happy that it has the capability to help others and make others feel happy and it would have been expressing her happiness all the time to the other living organisms around her. If rivers has the capability to talk now, it would have not been so happy and it would cry because nowadays factories and industries makes her polluted and also because of human activities like washing clothes etc. it cannot help others with her polluted water and children cannot play in her water. We are seeing many news nowadays like many people are affected by drinking her water. If it hears this news, it would feel bad for her birth in this world because it is not beneficial and becoming harmful to this earth. No one likes to be in this earth with no use of them but get harmful things from them. All the time it would be shouting and crying that ‘’Please don’t pollute me, I beg you‘’. Is it her mistake friends? No, absolutely not, it is our mistake because we all are polluting her and losing a beneficial, beautiful and rare source of water. If we keep on polluting her like this, it will not be in this world one day, and we will be the one who suffer the most. So friends please don’t pollute rivers they too have a soul in them. ‘’SAVING THE RIVERS IS SAVING THE LIVES’’ THANK YOU

  • OZONE HOLE IS HEALING

The Earth's protective layer is mentioned because the ozonosphere is showing signs of restoration. While it should seem that the recent lockdown everywhere within the world may have impacted the ozonosphere. Allow us to figure out briefly within the next essay. Ozone Layer: Earth's ozonosphere protects the planet's surface from a spread of the sun's more harmful rays which may cause cancer and cataracts in humans, and damage flora, per NASA. Importance of ozone layer: The layer makes life on Earth possible; it protects everything from the electromagnetic radiation of the Sun which could have destroyed everything if it wasn't for the layer on our stratosphere. The hole within the ozone layer: Within the mid-1980s, researchers identified an infinite hole within the ozonosphere over Antarctica and determined that it had been caused largely by human-produced chemicals. The ozonosphere began to deplete thanks to concentrations of chlorine and bromine which increased markedly in recent decades due to the discharge of enormous quantities of synthetic compounds mainly chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and bromofluorocarbons. These compounds are highly stable and might rise towards the stratosphere. They then initiate and catalyze a series reaction capable of breaking down over 100,000 ozone molecules. This was a man-made disaster that needed to be corrected which is why the Montreal Protocol was implemented. Montreal Protocol: The Montreal Protocol can be a treaty that phases out the assembly of those numerous Ozone-depleting substances eventually stopping its production altogether. within the past, human use of drugs – chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) – caused such life-threatening damage to the ozonosphere that in 1987, a world treaty called the "Montreal Protocol" was adopted to ban them. we've got finally reached this position - the quantity of chlorine and bromine are sufficiently low that the natural ozone production of the world outpaces that of the degradation - and also the layer has finally begun to heal. Evidence from the NASA: The NASA scientists show evidence of a drastic decrease within the growth of the opening. They're saying that it's the chemical ban initiated by the govt. which helped within the healing. Which they're hoping to completely mend the layer if the utilization of chemicals and harmful toxins especially CFCs are going to be kept in check. they need found that the chlorine emitted from the CFCs within the outlet has decreased which eventually decreases the depletion. this suggests Ozone is healing. Ozone is finally healing, an infinite due to the ban on chemicals and harmful toxins. Boon for Nature: Coronavirus pandemic is additionally a Boon for Nature and Biodiversity. because the adage goes, "In every shadow, there's light." Indeed, positive things do close even when the times seem gloomy. China saw a 25% reduction in carbon emissions, which is estimated to possess saved 77000 lives in 2 months. The canals of Venice became clean. In northern India, the Himalayas are again visible for the primary time in 30 years. What does this show? It clearly shows that in barely an especially short span of it slow, unprecedented actions by humanity that reduce our emissions and footprint can have an enormous impact. This pandemic taught us certain lessons. First, it's better to act early than procrastinate until the matter worsens. Second, the expansion of an economy isn't everything. Yes, the economy has to grow, but the expansion also possesses to be sustainable, and it's time to decouple growth and our environmental footprint. Third, we sleep in an exceedingly very globalized and interconnected world, and no country is immune from problems. Conclusion: simply because environmental issues often manifest within the sort of food security concerns in Africa, droughts within the region, or flooding in remote low-lying islands, doesn't mean that developed countries won't be affected. The health, social and economic consequences of COVID-19 should act as a warning sign us Because a war on nature is ultimately a war against ourselves. Nature is in crisis, Failure to act is failing humanity

  • Crash into Kritimati (final part)

Thank god! I knew we would get rescued. The fire idea worked! This morning when I woke up because of all the screams of mom. A lot of helicopters came to the island to attack us for some reason. We defended ourselves behind a giant rock but soon the firing slowed down. The helicopters were actually the army, and they were here to help us! At first, dad didn't believe the guys, but then one of the colonels himself came out, and that's when everybody got satisfied. Soon there were about 9 helicopters landed on the turf of Krimati. As there were 90 people in the plan when it crashed 10 people were told to be seated in every helicopter-women and kids first. The helicopters started to fly, nobody could hear anything except the roar of the helicopters. Our helicopter was the first to take off. We headed north towards London where the journey had started. When I got home the first thing I did was share the story with you guys. Thank you!

  • Crash into Kritimati part #4

It is the second day and nobody had yet come to rescue us. Some of the people are starting to think that we have got betrayed but Dad is still 100% sure that we will get rescued. I trust dad and I also believe that with his survival skills we will be saved. Remember I told you that dad and I were collecting rocks and shells? We have finally written "HELP." with them. Dad spent the whole day catching fish and caught a bunch. Tonight we will make a huge fire "That will increase the chances of being spotted by an airplane." We will also cook the fish on the same fire. Tomorrow we will try to make dig a path for the ocean water to come near the cave we are currently living in. Dad will also make a fertilizing machine so we can drink the water. I am praying that tomorrow when I wake up I should be back home rescued and be safe from the wild. part 5 coming soon!
