  • Crash into Kritimati part #3

A day had passed by and nobody had yet come to rescue us. Some people are working on a boat, but there is no point of it as we don't know the path of civilization. While I and dad collected some rocks and shells and wrote "HELP" with them so a plane or helicopter going by might notice and rescue us. Dad used to be in the boy scouts during his childhood hood and that's why he knows a lot about what to do in this situation. Mom spent the whole day helping old people by motivating them that we will surely be rescued safe and sound. At night dad collected some "dry" wood for the fire and mom cooked bean soup as we had a can left. Dad collected some Dat tree leaves and made a giant carpet out of them by weaving them together so we could sleep. Although it is not the most comfortable mattress in the world it's not that bad keeping the fact that it's made from dead leaves. part 4 coming soon

Thank god nobody died in the crash but there was a woman who was in her fifties, got stuck under a suitcase which fall on her from the overhead bin. I thought that mom and dad had died and soon started to cry, I couldn't even find bobo. After 10-15 minutes, I finally found mom along with dad and bobo. Then we started to help the old people to come out of the broken plane. We had to hurry as the crew members were saying that the plane had caught fire and it could explode. When everyone got out of the plane we started to walk away from it as it could backfire on us. The island was beautiful, with a lot of plateaus and mountains. It was hard to believe that no human lived here. When we hiked a little further, we found a skeleton. "someone might have come over here but died shortly after," said a guy from behind We decided to collect some rocks and shells and write "HELP" with them so we could get rescued by tomorrow. When we reached the airport, our bags were, checked twice. One of the security guards thought that bobo was a bear and almost arrested dad for it. When we got on the, plane the captain greeted us and gave us some tips. "you have to fasten your seat belts until we reach thirty-seven thousand feet and in case of low pressure, the oxygen masks will fell so, immediately put them on," he said. The thing that freaked everyone out was that thirty minutes into the flight red lights started to flash. Everybody was jumping out of their seats rushing towards the cockpit. That's when we heard a blast, and a window had broken. The Masks were lowered and everybody was told to stay calm, at this stage the plain was descending its height by a hundred feet every half a minute. The pilot made an emergency landing on an island called Kiritimati. It was more of a crash than a landing cause the plane crashed headfirst into a giant plateau. Read part 2

NAME: AKSHAYA PADMAKRISHNAN AGE:12 Introduction: “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed." - Gandhi Our natural environment and surroundings provide us with everything that we ever need. We get air, water, food, and everything else from the environment. But what are we giving back to the environment? We are just depleting it slowly which ultimately only harms us. The environment gives us countless benefits that we cannot repay our entire life. Let us see briefly in the following essay Environment: The environment is an ultimate important treasure that we own. The term environment is derived from the French word "environ", that stands for everything that surrounds us or the surrounding conditions for all living things and also the realm we sleep in. Broken bottles and charred pieces of glass, waded up newspapers tossed on the grass, pouring of concrete and tearing out trees—this is the environment that surrounds us. Heating is also a significant environmental issue. A high level of environmental pollution is detrimental to human and animal health. Forests are fastly depleting which causes erosion and drought situations. Excessive use of pesticides and contamination of soil have negatively affected soil output. Therefore, it is time to affix hands and save our surroundings for an improved future. Save the Environment: Saving the Environment is now required for survival. Damage to the environment stems from consumption. Consume less: Curbing consumption can have an outsized impact on the environment. The three "Rs" Reduce, Reuse and Recycle -get plenty of attention, but the planet may appreciate a more important yet underrepresented 'R': Refuse. Refusing to allow unneeded items into your life can prevent money and reduce the number of clutter in your home. Compost: Another 'R' that doesn't get much attention but has important environmental implications is “rot.” As in, let your food and yard waste rot naturally within the soil instead of sending it to the landfill. In other words: compost. Composting your food scraps and yard waste offers double the reward as it keeps and an improbable amount of trash out of the waste stream, and produces free, rich soil to use in your garden. Choose reusable over single-use: Eradicating plastic isn't one man's job… every hand counts. Single-use plastic must go somewhere and it's had a devastating effect on our soil, oceans, and marine life. Switch to reusable items and try to use them as often as possible. you'll have less trash piling up at your curb and you may be helping to shield the environment in a major way. Upcycle more - Get creative along with your useless or unwanted items by upcycling turning trash into treasure. Creating something new like artwork, toys or jewelry is both satisfying and one of the only ways to protect the environment. Recycle properly - If you can not refuse, rot, reduce, upcycle or reuse it; then it's time to point out to the final 'R' - recycling. Educate yourself on what is going to be and cannot be recycled in your line reception. Throwing inaccurate items within the recycle bin may lead to a whole load being rejected, which suggests... back to the landfill. Live and let live We, humans, tend towards being supercilious to other species. we must always respect the hierarchy of the natural phenomenon and try to eat what's edible for us. The planet belongs as much to animals as it does to us. Develop and implement sustainable food and practices especially from the oceans. Green gardening Avoid chemical pesticides and weed killers, rather select composting garden and kitchen waste. Use Energy efficiently use less energy at school, office and home. Turn off the lights, fans, and air conditioners when not in use. And invest in energy-efficient devices like CFL's, LED's etc. You will be helping not only the environment but yourself too. These small inputs from several people can end up having a huge impact on the environment. Save Water We should save water as it is a precious component of our surroundings It should be never be wasted. We must always never pollute water. Efforts should be made in making an enormous reduction in both domestic and industrial disposal in water bodies. PLANT more avoid Deforestation TREES "What we do to the forests of the world is but a mirror reflection of what we do to ourselves and every other.” Leader There should be a policy towards donating and saving the environment by planting just one tree monthly. We are ready to make donations to NGOs that are engaged in planting just trees, or in any way working towards saving the environment. Trees absorb pollution and protect water reservoirs. Trees produce life-giving oxygen and mitigate action. Trees provide habitat for wildlife Last but not least, aware more people about environmental issues and consequences. Encourage everyone to contribute their part to avoid wasting our surroundings. Expanding and streamlining recycling programs, passing regulations to greatly reduce carbon emissions, subsidizing clean energy production and development, greatly expanding transit, build up not reforming own. Loriety's materialistic ideal vision of success and moving off from a minimalist economic mode, which needs exploitation of natural resown to function are just a few! The environment will save us.

  • Covid-19

COVID 19 is one of the world's biggest tragedy faced by people across countries. It has brought a big question mark on how to run life. It has made people be at home and the people who need their daily wages to feed themselves and their families are the most affected ones. It has brought the scenario where people themselves had thought they would die out of hunger and made them migrate to their cities even by walking with their family for the distance which we all just couldn't imagine doing. So many died just because of this. And so far, there is no hope of eradication of this disease as the virus keeps changing its structural form now and then. The only hope is following the preventive measures which the government had insisted us to follow. Patients with other respiratory problems and few other problems are the main target of COVID 19 as their immunity is already low. Nowadays all have started moving out to their workplace whereas some work at home as we all need to survive and ensure that our family members are hale and healthy to go through the pandemic. Despite everything, we will have to keep practicing the preventive measures in our life to keep ourselves away from danger.

  • The two lumberjacks

Once upon a time, there lived two lumberjacks. Their names were Jack and Steve. They were fighting that they were better than each other. Then an old man was moving from there and saw everything. He thought to have a competition between them. He ran and said that you both are selected for a tree cutting competition. The next day, they were at their places but the old man was late. He came and asked them to start. After 30 min Jack stopped for 10 minutes. Then Steve heard that and started to cut his trees faster with overconfidence. Every time they were doing it like this. - Farmer The memory has come again that the Guy who earns the bread of hard work, the farmer without whom we and the whole world is incomplete, how the real bread and hard-earned money is earned, he tells the farmer.
